Corporate Recognition Program Survey Released in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, April 19, 2016 – Employee engagement and retention is rated as “urgent” or “important” by 78% of business leaders, making this a primary concern for corporate executives around the world. Taking it a step further, employee engagement and retention was reported as the number 1 challenge according to Deloitte’s Global Human Capital Trends 2015 report. Annual disengagement-related costs among U.S. companies alone are estimated to exceed $450 Billion.
Only 13 percent of the global workforce is “highly engaged,” creating a tremendous need to increase employee engagement, yet less than 7% of companies rate their retention and engagement programs as “excellent.” Recognition and rewards programs are a major driver of increased engagement and retention.
Cerno, a Charlotte-based adventure learning company, offers performance recognition programs to help companies reward their top performing employees with an unforgettable, experiential learning adventure. Cerno is inviting local companies to participate in a short survey to check the pulse on employee engagement and recognition programs in the Charlotte metro area.
Professionals within the Charlotte metro area may participate in the survey located at: http://gocerno.com/charlotte-employee-recognition-program-survey.
“By taking a few minutes to answer ten short questions, you are helping to paint the picture for recognition programming across the Charlotte business scene,” said Michelle Aikman, Cerno Director of Adventure Learning. “Once we understand how companies are recognizing and rewarding their employees, then we can begin to help the Charlotte market attract, retain, and engage top talent from the far reaches of our nation and even the world. ”
Cerno programs help organizations attract, retain and engage top talent and build high-performance cultures. To help organizations facilitate improvements to their employee recognition programs, a summary of the survey responses will be shared with eligible participants once participation requirements are met, so they may use the non-identifiable responses as a platform for internal discussions.
“Charlotte is an attractive city to live, work and play,” stated Michelle. “However, to keep top talent in the area and entice high-performing professionals to choose Charlotte, depends heavily on the attractiveness of their employers. Right now, engagement which is often affected by recognition, is a big factor in that decision.”
