Dr. C. Michael Sage, Sr., Announces Retirement
Anchorage, AK (PRWEB) April 14, 2014 -- Last month, esteemed dentist C. Michael Sage, Sr., announced his retirement from his dental practice at the Alaska Center for Dentistry in Anchorage.
His daily presence will be missed by colleagues and patients alike, who remember Dr. Sage for his "mirth, joy of life, and love of people."
In a letter to patients announcing his father's retirement, C. Michael Sage, Jr., also a dentist at the Alaska Center for Dentistry, and a 20-year colleague of Dr. Sage, Sr., summed up his father's career: "Excellence has always been my father’s goal; we strive, through our years of hard work and training to enhance our services to [our patients]."
"I feel rather certain," continued the younger Dr. Sage, "that my father would like to say to each and everyone of [his patients], 'Thank you! Thank you for the wonderful ride, thank you for helping me enjoy this awesome journey. It has been a pleasure!'"
Dr. Sage received his dentistry degree from the Indiana University of Dentistry. He served in the Air Force for four years, spent 20 years teaching at the L.D. Pankey Institute, and opened the Alaska Center for Dentistry in 1977.
Dr. Sage will no doubt pursue his other favorite activities during retirement—fishing, skiing, flying, hunting, and involvement with the Boy Scouts of America.
