Evidence In Motion Now Offering Concussion Management Certification
Louisville, KY (PRWEB) January 14, 2016 -- Evidence In Motion (EIM) is pleased to announce they will be offering a Concussion Management Certification beginning March 2016.
The Concussion Management Certification is a 12-month post-professional program committed to developing evidence-based practitioners and clinician scientists. It is designed for physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, as well as other professionals looking to advance clinical practice techniques and decision making for the management of patients with concussions. Graduates will be positioned to rapidly integrate that knowledge into their clinical practice and better identify, treat, and manage the concussion patient along the entire continuum of recovery from acute to chronic and pediatric to geriatric while fostering a rehabilitative team approach.
“We are thrilled to be offering the first multidisciplinary Concussion Management Certification,” said Program Director Jessica Schwartz, PT, DPT, CSCS. “The program will present the latest clinical conversations, evidence-based guidelines, and consensus statements while integrating real world experiences from patients, providers, and caregivers who have navigated the complex healthcare network of today.”
Program Faculty includes leaders in neurology, emergency medicine, traumatic head and neck disorders, neurogenic speech language pathology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and neuropsychology including Drs. Tad Seifert, Tim Flynn, and Michael Furtado, among others. Cohorts will begin in March, July, and September of 2016.
