Farm Credit Associations of North Carolina Hold Food Drive to Benefit Local Food Banks
Statesville, NC (PRWEB) September 19, 2014 -- The Farm Credit Associations of North Carolina (Carolina Farm Credit, AgCarolina Farm Credit, and Cape Fear Farm Credit) are partnering with Our State magazine to hold an online food drive benefiting North Carolina food banks beginning September 15, 2014.
Monetary donations can be made at ourstate.com/lending-a-hand September 15 – October 31, 2014. Visitors to the site can enter to win one of three $200 Food Lion gift cards to serve their family Thanksgiving dinner. All donations will go to Feeding America, benefiting local N.C. food banks.
“Holding the food drive during this important time of harvest helps to emphasize that farmers and the food banks really share the same mission – to feed the hungry,” said Carolina Farm Credit CEO, Vance C. Dalton, Jr. “We are extremely appreciative of the work that the N.C. food banks do to help families that are in need of food and nutrition. We are honored to partner with Our State Magazine to highlight this need and do our part to lend a helping hand to those who might need to reach out to the food banks.”
