Fine artist and photographer Daniella Cippitelli will be exhibiting in her first solo show Rising Tides at AcQua Restaurant
Merrick, NY (PRWEB) August 27, 2015 -- Long Island Artist Daniella Cippitelli brings all the enthusiasm and culture of the Manhattan and Hampton Bays art scenes to Nassau County in her solo exhibition RISING TIDES. With its fabulous waterfront view, AcQua is the perfect setting to showcase her work. There will be a cocktail reception Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. where you can meet the artist and purchase her work.
Cippitelli’s work is comprised mostly of abstract paintings in oil or acrylic and photography. She plays with fluid movements in her painting style and her photography takes on angles and approaches you might not expect.
Says Cippitelli of the theme, “I have always been attracted to water. Its movement, how it effects its surroundings and the way it resonates with people. My abstract paintings take on that same fluidity for me. The paint is like water moving across the canvas. I like to play with shapes and lines giving life to my pieces so they take on an individual meaning and feeling for the viewer. It is my hope to stir emotion in the person looking at it so they don’t just see the work but feel something as well”.
About the artist: Daniella has been an artist since her early childhood, with her work being presented in several art exhibitions. She is a native Long Islander. Cippitelli spent 15 years in ad agencies and publishing companies after graduating college with a B.F.A. in Arts Management. She also has an M.A. in Media Studies and an A.A. in Commercial Art.
In 2010 Cippitelli resigned from her position as Creative Director with Hearst Business Media and started her own online marketing/website development agency. In 2013 she sold her shares in the company to pursue her philanthropic effort Magic Happens Foundation, a non profit she founded in 2012 to bring fitness and nutrition to individuals going through cancer treatment and to dedicate more time to her fine art creative pursuits.
10% of the sales proceeds from the show will be donated to Magic Happens Foundation.
