Grab your sweetheart and enjoy the finer things in life this February, with two incredible wine tasting events in South Lake Tahoe. The Cork & More is putting on a tasting on February 20, or start the month off right at Boeger Winery’s Tasting at Sierra-at-Tahoe on February 1.
2 - Pint & Paddles Apres Ski Cruise
Cruise into the blue beauty of Lake Tahoe on the M.S. Dixie II. Every Wednesday from now until March 19, the iconic M.S. Dixie II is offering cruises for $10 (includes a drink). Cruise lasts from 5:30 - 7pm, and departs from Zephyr Cove.
3 - Mardi Gras Dance:
Though this is an all ages event, we recommend enjoying it with a loved one. The 17 piece Tahoe Dance Band is performing, and the event offers appetizers, wine, prizes and fun. Come dressed up in the best mardi gras costume, and don’t forget the mask. Event costs $10 and is happening at South lake Tahoe Senior Center.
4 - Hello Dolly! in Reno:
The national tour of Hello Dolly! is coming to Pioneer Center in Reno, Nevada for a limited 5 performances. Enjoy one of the longest running hit musicals this February and be singing show tunes all weekend long. Performances are happening February 21 - 23, with matinee and evening performances. 5 - Couples Massage:
Relax this February while on vacation with a rejuvenating couples massage. With so many option in South and North Lake, this winter there is no excuse not to feel the bliss of couples massage. Family Friendly Activities
1 - Ice-skating:
No trip to Lake Tahoe is complete without an afternoon ice-skating. In South Lake Tahoe, enjoy Heavenly Village Ice Rink, and in North Lake Tahoe make a trip to Northstar Ice Skating Rink (in Truckee).
2 - Snowsports Week:
Every year Snowsports Week provides discount lift tickets to Sierra-at-Tahoe, and all proceeds go back to the South Lake Tahoe community through 1 of 5 foundations. Lift tickets during Snowsports week are only $40, and only available for skiing/boarding from February 10 - February 13.
3 - Persian Snow Festival:
Taking place February 28 - March 2, the Persian Snow Festival is sure to be a fun filled weekend of skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and snow-man making. Events are taking places all over South Lake Tahoe, so be sure to sign up in advance to be able to take advantage of discounted activities.
4 - North Lake Tahoe Snowfest :
Join the 33rd year of family fun this February at the North Lake Tahoe Snowfest. From parades, races and parties to “paint the bear” and ice cream eating contests, Snowfest has a little something for everyone. Events taking place February 28 - March 9. This year’s theme is Bring Back the 80s, so grab those neon snowsuits.
5 - Burton Riglet Park Snowboard Games:
Join the fun February 8 - 9 at Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort at this free event. This event is geared towards children 6 and under, and helps kids learn how to snowboard. Kids will also feel like Olympians as they step onto the podium and snap a photo with their Olympic Medal.
