Glion Institute of Higher Education Organises “Innovate Luxury” Conference
Montreux, Switzerland (PRWEB) September 12, 2016 -- Glion Institute of Higher Education, one of the world’s top three institutes of higher education for an international career in hospitality (TNS Global Survey, 2013), is hosting the “Innovate Luxury” conference, bringing together global leaders and entrepreneurs in the hospitality and luxury industries on Wednesday, September 21st, 2016 at its Bulle campus. The morning event includes keynote speakers and panel sessions focusing on innovation in the hospitality and luxury industries and the convergence of their respective sectors.
Despite digitalisation trends, consumers seem to appreciate a human element during the transaction process and on the highest levels of luxury, a need for personal interaction prevails to provide the personalised, compassionate service that inspires consumers’ confidence. With this rapid growth and the volatility of global markets, luxury businesses need to keep reinventing themselves and create the type of products and services that continue to inspire new breeds of consumers, while staying true to their origins and heritage.
The industry event will address those topics and start with a keynote speech by Christian Blanckaert, Former Directeur Général of Hermès International and Comité Colbert France, who will discuss ”Innovation and new trends in the luxury industry”.
The ensuing panel discussion focusing on “Innovation in the hospitality sector: Challenging traditional models and building new solutions for the industry”, includes speakers among others such as:
- Laurent Branover, General Manager, La Réserve Geneva
- Bernadette Koltai, Vice President, Luxury Hotels Group
- Pia Stassen, Vice President Corporate Rooms Division, Kempinski Hotels
The second session will address the following topic “Innovation in the luxury industry: Creating new paradigms for the consumer and redefining the luxury experience” and include panelists among others such as:
- Marc-André Heller, Country General Manager, L’Oréal Switzerland
- Stéphane Von Bueren, International Business Director, Christie’s
- Claude Vuillemez, Director of Watchmaking Products, Richemont International
