Goji Smart Lock Selected as Partner for Staples Connect
Las Vegas (PRWEB) January 07, 2014 -- Goji Smart Lock has been selected as a partner for Staples Connect™ from Staples, joining its ecosystem of connected devices that can be controlled through the Staples Connect Hub and App with any smartphone, tablet or PC. Goji Smart Lock joins a select lineup of certified home- and office-automation products that give people the ability to manage multiple elements of their home and office environments through one universal wireless hub.
The Goji Smart Lock is a state-of-the-art electronic deadbolt and the only smart lock with a built-in camera that sends picture alerts via push notifications to the homeowner’s Goji App to show them who is activating their lock. With the Goji Smart Lock, Staples Connect customers will no longer need to carry traditional keys. Instead, they will be able to use their smartphone to lock or unlock their home or office and to grant and revoke day- and time-specific access privileges to others, all of which can be controlled through Staples Connect. The battery operated Goji Smart Lock works with Bluetooth Smart, WIFI and ZigBee.
“Staples is uniquely positioned to introduce small-business owners to the power of today’s connected devices and to offer an affordable office-automation hub to manage them. With our Goji Smart Lock, we’re pleased to be invited to join the impressive list of certified products that people can control through their Staples Connect Hub,” said Gabriel Bestard, CEO of Goji.
“Staples customers will appreciate the many extra features the Goji Smart Lock offers—especially the picture alerts—to help them feel more confident and secure knowing who’s coming and going from their home or office. Goji joins our category of ‘safety and monitoring’ products that can be controlled through our Staples Connect Hub,” said Peter Gerstberger, Director/DMM, New Business Development, Staples.
Staples Connect lets homeowners and small business owners control key activities such as lighting, climate control and security, via a multi-platform app and universal hub. Unlike large system-based solutions, Staples Connect allows users to add only the devices they want. Customers can select products by Lutron, Philips, GE, Honeywell, Yale and First Alert, among others. The Staples Connect Hub, powered by Linksys, is available online and in a limited number of Staples stores for $99. The platform, developed by Zonoff, features a free app that enables users to control their homes and offices from a smartphone, tablet or laptop. There is no subscription fee.
