Greek Boston Community Website is Acquired by Tanya and Nikos Stamoulis
Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 29, 2013 -- Greek Boston (http://www.greekboston.com), a community website for the Boston, Massachusetts and New England area Greeks was recently acquired by Tanya and Nikos Stamoulis of Arlington, Massachusetts.
Greek Boston, which was launched in 1998, is the first online community for Greek Americans and took to connecting local Greeks in the Boston and New England area with club nights, festivals, networking events, and more. In 2003, Nikos and Tanya Stamoulis met for the first time, thanks to a Greek Boston event. It is because of this personal connection to the website that they decided to purchase the site when the opportunity arose.
“Greek Boston has been a true resource for connecting Boston area Greeks with other Greeks,” says Nikos Stamoulis. “I am passionate about supporting the local Boston Greek community, embracing my heritage, and connecting with others who feel the same way I do. I believe that Boston Greeks should be supporting other Greeks and Greek businesses in the community as a way to preserve our collective culture as Greek Americans for generations to come.”
The website will be re-launched in spring 2014 with a completely new design and will feature fresh content in the areas of Greek food, travelling to Greece, popular Greek music, news from Greece, and Boston-area and New England Greek festivals. The updated website will also feature a business directory that caters to Greek owned businesses looking to do business with other Greeks. Greek Boston visitors will also be able to submit event notices of their own to the site at let the Boston-area Greek community know about upcoming weddings, christenings, and obituaries. Nikos and Tanya also plan on creating a bi-weekly newsletter so Greek Boston users can get the latest news and events.
Once the new Greek Boston website is launched, Nikos Stamoulis plans on accepting advertisers and cross-marketing partners that are looking to connect with the local Greek Boston community. “I truly believe that the Greek community here in Boston, Massachusetts is a powerful, vibrant, and essential component of the greater Boston community. And while we are all proud to be Bostonians and Americans, we are also proud to be Greek. It’s time to celebrate our heritage and give something our children and grandchildren will have to connect themselves to their culture with.”
