Greenberg Traurig Continues Strategic Growth of Patent Litigation Practice with Addition of Michael H. Imbacuan
(PRWEB) September 25, 2017 -- Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP continues to grow its Patent Litigation Practice with the strategic addition of Shareholder Michael H. Imbacuan in New York. Imbacuan joins from Budd Larner where he was a shareholder.
Imbacuan focuses his practice on patent litigation in the pharmaceutical and chemical arts, and brings more than 15 years of experience litigating patent cases arising under the Drug Price Competition and Patent Term Restoration Act (Hatch-Waxman cases). He also advises clients on other regulatory issues, as well as in the development of strategic plans to bring pharmaceutical products to market.
“We are thrilled that Michael is joining our team,” said Scott J. Bornstein, co-chair of the firm's Global Intellectual Property & Technology Practice. "Michael's addition to the New York IP group expands upon our ability to deliver high quality and value to our Pharmaceutical clients. We welcome him to the firm."
“We are focused on evaluating the needs of our clients and hiring talented attorneys who can address those needs as they evolve,” said the firm’s New York office Co-Managing Shareholders Nancy A. Mitchell and Stephen L. Rabinowitz in a joint statement. “Michael is an example of that commitment and we are excited he has joined Greenberg Traurig.”
“It was important for me to join a firm with the platform that Greenberg Traurig has to offer,” Imbacuan said. “Clients will benefit from the talented team of attorneys at Greenberg Traurig who understand what is at stake and whose goal is to navigate them through their most complex IP challenges.”
Imbacuan received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and his B.S., summa cum laude, in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University.
As clients continue to face ANDA and other complex patent litigation challenges, the Greenberg Traurig patent litigation team has responded with a significant expansion in New York including more than 10 attorneys and one patent agent joining within the past 12 months.
