HCBA’s First Annual Fundraising Award Breakfast
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 24, 2013 -- To kick off the celebration of 100 years of Chicago Bungalows, the Historic Chicago Bungalow Association (HCBA) has established the Angel Guild to honor and recognize individuals who have fostered the preservation and appreciation of Chicago’s iconic family homes.
The award will be presented at the 1st Annual Angel Guild Breakfast on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 8:00-9:30am at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 East Washington Street.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel is the Honorary Chair of the event.
The inaugural inductee into the Angel Guild is Richard H. Driehaus, businessman and philanthropist. “Richard is among our very strongest supporters, said Mary Ellen Guest, Executive Director of HCBA. “We are honored to be the recipient of grants from the Richard H. Driehaus Charitable Foundation.”
Angel Gilding is a decorative element used in Chicago Bungalow art glass windows of the 1920's and 1930's. This distinguishing element is beautiful, rare and distinctive to Chicago. Chicago is the only city in the nation to use angel gilding in home windows.
