ICC to Hold "Creating Artistry" Conductor’s Workshop with Henry Leck
Indianapolis, Ind. (PRWEB) April 29, 2015 -- The Indianapolis Children’s Choir (ICC) will hold Creating Artistry 2015 – its annual conducting workshop, led by Artistic Director Henry Leck – June 14-19, on the campus of Butler University in Indianapolis.
Creating Artistry is a workshop for student and professional conductors, and is attended yearly by conductors from around the world looking to learn from Mr. Leck’s mastery.
From the ICC: “Established in a nurturing environment, Creating Artistry offers an opportunity for conductors to further develop conducting skills. Through individual and master class teaching, conductors study Conducting Gesture, Vocal Techniques, Rehearsal Efficiency, Pacing, Score Analysis, Repertoire, Dalcroze Eurhythmics, Choral Administration and Multicultural Interpretation. Laboratory choruses provide the opportunity for participants to explore actively the conducting processes.”
Creating Artistry is taught in three levels, ranging from inexperienced to advanced singers.This year the workshop will focus on conducting children’s choir with a string ensemble.
In addition to Mr. Leck, Creating Artistry will be staffed by Dr. Steven Rickards and ICC Director of Education Ruth Dwyer.
