Improved Drug Delivery in Animal Health Presented by Catalent Experts at Crops & Chemicals Europe Conference & Exhibition
Somerset, NJ (PRWEB) February 10, 2014 -- Experts from Catalent Pharma Solution will present ‘Overcoming the Compliance Challenge: Formulation Technology to Improve Acceptance & Adherence’ at the forthcoming Crops & Chemicals Europe Conference, Veterinary Medicine: From Vision to Product, which runs from the 11th to the 13th February, at the Maritim prorArte Hotel, Berlin, Germany. The session, at 3:30pm on Wednesday 12th, will be presented by Catalent’s recently appointed Global Sales and Marketing Director for Animal Health, Dan Peizer, along with R&D Business Manager, Susan Banbury.
Several of Catalent’s advanced drug delivery technologies may be applied to improve the delivery of existing and new animal health treatments, providing innovators with clear brand differentiation. For example, Zydis® orally disintegrating tablets may be beneficial for delivering oral medications to companion animals, such as cats, that often refuse to swallow conventional tablets; extended and controlled release technologies may help minimize side-effects of potent medications, and the application of blow-fill-seal technologies can assist in packaging preservative-free medications for convenient, unit dosing.
Catalent will look to leverage its drug development and delivery expertise, and its global supply network, to help enable its customers’ success in the animal health sector by overcoming the challenges of animal acceptance and owner adherence. The company is already working with a number of leading Animal Health companies on the development of improved treatment delivery and global supply.
Mr. Peizer recently joined Catalent from Bayer Healthcare, where he where he held several positions of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing. He is a graduate of Cornell University with a BS in Animal Science.
