Innocent Warriors Women’s Self-Defense Seminar - Phoenix Dragon Martial Arts in Port Angeles, WA Begins New Women's Self Defense Program Starting Saturday 9/19 at 12 Noon
Port Angeles, WA (PRWEB) September 18, 2015 -- As the numbers of assaults, domestic battery, robberies, rapes and kidnappings continue to rise, it is important to be armed with the training necessary to detect, avoid and/or escape these dangerous situations unharmed. Innocent Warriors© is a unique women's self-defense seminar that is produced each Saturday at 12 noon for 6 weeks beginning on 9/19/2015. It provides a deep understanding of the dynamics of self-defense, the situations that require its use or more preferably the avoidance of it.
Each approximately three hour session covers specific types of violent situations in a progressive series designed to move from least violent to the most serious of circumstances. Likewise, the psychology, specific situational differences as well as methods of defense and escape also follow course in an open group setting, escalating in seriousness and force. The sessions themselves are designed to be taken independently, sequentially and/or repeatedly.
As fear plays an important role in violence, each session will begin with an overview of fear, what it is, how it can be controlled and actually help a situation. Next expect open and frank discussions in this women only environment on the situations for the category of violence being addressed during that specific session. This is an open forum for ideas, thoughts and as time permits personal experiences to be shared. The remaining time will be dedicated to practicing hands-on self-defense techniques designed specifically for the situation and level of force required to defend against harm and provide an escape. This includes situational awareness training, empty hand defensive techniques and weapon offense and defense.
