(PRWEB UK) 16 September 2013 -- It has been reported in Expat Forum that the changes involve applicants paying the cost and booking fee upfront using a new online system. Applicants will be able to manage appointments in the same way through their account, but a UK border spokesman explains that “the new process will help applicants access PEO appointments and at the same time tackle those who are abusing the booking system.” Those who do not attend their appointments or cancel with less than the required 5 working days’ notice will not have their £100 fee refunded. Those who do attend, or cancel within the specified timeframe can receive their refund via email, taking up to 28 days.
Applicants are also being urged to ensure they attend with the correct documents at their local public enquiry office
