J. Robert Scott Welcomes Textures in Wallcovering
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) August 10, 2016 -- J. Robert Scott, Inc. the internationally known luxury furniture and textile manufacturer announces representation of hand-crafted wallcovering brand Textures in Wallcovering in our showrooms in selected United States cities and United Kingdom.
For the last several years owner, designer James Girouard along with his son and partner, Tyler have patiently silk screened some of the most imaginative and tactile luxury wallcoverings for the design community. Textures in Wallcovering offers exquisite wall coverings for residential and commercial use that can be customized in terms of color and patterns. The 3 dimensional motifs are richly embossed, and often incorporate grass cloth, silk and shimmer with metallic paint. “We select various materials that are commonplace here in south Florida, like the palm, and certain leaves and of course sand and shells.” Explains Girouard, “My goal is to introduce a taste of nature in these handmade papers, which transforms the interior space and transports the people who experience it.”
“We see a desire in our clients to include texture and dimension in their custom design work.” Says Richard Chilcott, C.E.O. of J. Robert Scott “The quality of this artisanal wallcovering is superior to anything we have seen in the marketplace and a great addition to our bespoke American brand offering.” The patterns and dimensional designs include traditional baroque motifs, geometric and random prints resembling stucco and old world plaster. http://www.texturesinwallcovering.com
ABOUT TEXTURES IN WALLCOVERING
James Girouard started his design career in 1980; he has designed homes for the past 36 years all along the east coast. From a young age his parents could see the creativity their son exhibited, and urged him to pursue a career in design. He would create room settings as a child, and then rearrange the furniture when his parents went out to dinner. Seeing this talent his mother urged him to take a basic design course in high school, which gave him the groundwork and structure for his natural gifts.
James entered a talent competition with 80 aspiring design students sponsored by legendary department store G. Fox & Company. He was awarded first place, and a scholarship. His award winning design was displayed in the “CT House” in Hartford the state capital. This acknowledgement of his design ability ignited his creative pilot light, and encouraged him to commit to his future career.
Upon graduating from design school James moved to New York City and began working for prestigious Casa Bella Imports, in their three floor gallery in the New York Design Center. After three years immersing himself in the field of high end furnishings, he established his own design firm, James Girouard Design Associates. Girouard built a solid reputation with his clients and as his design firm grew, he found that there were no resources for high quality textural wallcovering.
With his entrepreneurial spirit and a clear vision of what the market needed, he set about creating highly detailed artisan wallcoverings for his own projects and to offer to the design community. Before long he enlisted his son Tyler, the two partnered in this creative process to develop and market the line of American made hand crafted artisan papers. In four short years, Textures in Wallcovering has developed its brand of imaginative designs and patterns in an industry that constantly requires the most sophisticated and custom solutions, with absolute quality.
Textures in Wallcovering is manufactured in Palm Beach, Florida. Currently the brand is represented in several cities in the United States, and will open in the London showroom of J. Robert Scott in September 2016. For locations or to learn more, visit http://www.texturesinwallcovering.com
