Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) January 16, 2015 -- Attorney John Haarlow, Jr., 37, has been elevated to partner at Novack and Macey LLP, a business and commercial litigation firm based in Chicago, Illinois.
John joined Novack and Macey in 2006. He represents clients in cases involving civil litigation and arbitration, focusing his practice in professional liability defense, intellectual property and closely-held corporation disputes.
John is admitted to practice in Illinois and is a member of the bars of the United States District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois. He has practiced before numerous Illinois Circuit Courts, the Illinois Appellate Courts for the First and Third Districts and the Supreme Court of Illinois as well as United States District Courts in Illinois and Virginia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
John graduated from Princeton University in 1999 and the University of Illinois School of Law, Summa Cum Laude, Order of the Coif, in 2004. He was the Administrative Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review.
Before joining the firm, John served as a clerk for Senior District Judge Suzanne B. Conlon of the Northern District of Illinois.
In 2013, 2014 and 2015, Super Lawyers selected John as an Illinois Rising Star, an honor given to fewer than 2.5 percent of all Illinois lawyers.
John serves as a member of the Foundation Board of the Sue Duncan Children's Center which provides free after-school educational and recreational programming for inner-city children.
John currently resides in Chicago with his wife, Courtney, and daughter. He grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois.
