Brea, California (PRWEB) January 27, 2016 -- Global aerospace parts distribution and stocking firm Kapco Global has relocated its Miami and Wellington facilities to one new, centralized location in Tamarac, Florida. The move, finalized in December, will result in significant cuts to shipping costs for 25 percent of Kapco Global’s active accounts.
“The 50,000-square-foot facility is modernized for efficiency, with smartly configured floor plans that are designed for increased productivity and collaboration among team members,” said Kapco Global Marketing and Communications Manager Desiree Garcia. “Along with improving efficiency and cutting costs, the move will allow us to evolve with the needs of our customers and meet projected growth targets without issue.”
In addition to housing an expanded product inventory, the state-of-the-art facility merges the two former sites’ assembly, engineering, design and repair departments. The onsite electrical connector assembly plant provides customers with shorter lead times and the region’s only one-stop source for many of the industry’s most frequently used parts. Meanwhile, its Tamarac location, which is a 15-minute drive from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport, allows customers the convenience of quickly picking up orders during standard business hours.
“This new facility significantly improves our ability to support our large customer base in Florida,” said Regional Director for Customer Development Matt Terrell. “With $145 million in local stock to cover the breadth of our product portfolio, the Kapco Global Tamarac facility is one of the region’s most comprehensive supplier/distributors of aircraft components.”
