KeyStone Introduces Advanced Firmware for DAB / DAB+ in Automotives
(PRWEB) September 07, 2013 -- KeyStone Semiconductor Corp. (KeyStone), a fabless semiconductor developer of advanced digital radio turn-key technology announces that the company has successfully released the advanced software for automotives.
Since the introduction of first real industrial grade (operating temperature from -40 deg C to 85 deg C) single chip DAB / DAB+ modules in 2010, KeyStone has enjoyed high market share for automotive aftermarket application. Its major customers include China leading car stereo manufacturers like Caska and Skypine. Seeing the increasing trend and demand for service following and service linking for automotive application, KeyStone introduced the advanced software for automotive application.
The advanced software includes fast tuning, service following and service linking algorithm. Fast tuning enables the user to re-tune to a radio service during disruption while service following and service linking enable users to recover the selected service or to switch to other services via hard linking or soft linking.
The advanced software algorithm enables the single tuner to exchange information with the host processor to achieve autonomous DAB to DAB or DAB to FM service following behaviour. The simplified service following behaviour runs on single DAB / DAB+ tuner. Nowadays most existing automotive DAB/DAB+ solutions are using dual tuners for achieving the same task. By employing KeyStone advanced software algorithm, a single KeyStone DAB / DAB+ module would provide the seamless listening experience to users.
