KOHLER Command PRO Horizontal-Shaft Engine Line Continues to Expand
KOHLER, Wis. (PRWEB) January 23, 2018 -- Construction pros around the world have come to recognize KOHLER Command PRO® horizontal-shaft, single-cylinder gasoline engines as durable workhorses that can be relied upon to power a wide variety of equipment. The rugged lineup of small gas engines – ranging between 4.5 and 14 horsepower – helps to keep some of the most important tools for concrete and masonry professionals up-and-running, including mortar mixers, power trowels, pressure washers, generators, welders, and much more. To offer end users an enhanced level of flexibility on the jobsite, Kohler recently expanded its Command PRO horizontal-shaft line to include unique Tri-Fuel and Low-Emission options.
With demand for more fuel efficient, low-emission engines on the rise, Kohler has rolled out the ECH440LE engine, a modified version of the popular KOHLER Command PRO EFI ECH440 with new, lower emission outputs. The engine’s integrated catalytic exhaust system, in combination with its closed-loop EFI system, lowers harmful carbon monoxide emissions by 75 percent* without sacrificing engine performance.
Kohler has also enhanced its leadership position in alternative fuels with the company’s Tri-Fuel engines. Four KOHLER Command PRO horizontal-shaft engines – the CH260, CH270, CH395, and CH440 – now offer the ability to run on three different fuels: gasoline, propane, and natural gas. This advancement allows end users to simply turn a dial to switch between the three options based on fuel availability or fuel preference for a specific task.
“We’re pleased to have expanded our Command PRO horizontal-shaft engine line to continue to meet the needs of our diverse end users,” said Ben Marotz, Marketing Manager for KOHLER Engines. “It’s a priority for us to continue offering users with helpful new features while also maintaining the benefits that are the most important to today’s construction pros – the durability, reliability, and consistent performance in the field that these models deliver.”
The full line of KOHLER Command PRO single-cylinder, horizontal-shaft engines includes more than ten models with numerous performance-enhancing features, including: KOHLER’s Quad-Clean™ four-stage cyclonic air cleaner for maximum protection against dirt and debris; a large fuel tank for longer runtime; and cast-iron cylinder liners and forged-steel crankcases for durable, worry-free operation.
