Marmalade Skies Arts & Crafts Studio to Hold Grand Re-Opening Under New Ownership
Austin, TX (PRWEB) November 17, 2013 -- Marmalade Skies, Austin’s most unique arts and crafts store and studio, is now under new ownership. A grand re-opening event will take place on December 1st from 12pm to 5pm at the studio located at 13450 Research Blvd., Suite 229 in Austin.
Marmalade Skies specializes in walk-in arts and crafts, scheduled classes, and group events for all ages. Also featured is a selection of local arts and crafts gifts and supplies.
The new Marmalade Skies ownership team brings experience in arts and crafts education from early childhood learning through college-level instruction, and includes a number of professional artists, interactive designers, and business professionals.
“It is our hope that Marmalade Skies will be reinvigorated and serve the Austin arts and crafts community. We aim to provide a supportive environment that attracts and connects all ages who have a desire to learn, explore, and create,” said co-owner, Aurelia Brogan.
In addition, KidzArt Austin will be offering classes at Marmalade Skies. KidzArt and its 10-year-proven fine art education is well known for their after school enrichment programs in Austin metro area schools.
“Our free grand opening event will feature a sampling of our programs and will be lots of fun. It will be a wonderful way to meet all our friendly and experienced staff and art educators who are committed to serving the arts in our community,” says co-owner, Anastasia Fabing.
The studio is currently accepting applications for the juried retail space featuring original handmade works in ceramics, glass, wood, jewelry and more.
Marmalade Skies will be open Tuesday-Sunday in addition to special hours for in-store events. The studio can be reached at 512-695-1694.
Marmalade Skies looks forward to maintaining the elements that have made it such a critical part of the Austin arts scene since 2007 while building on combined new experience to introduce new classes, such as preschool process art, craft parties, and family nights.
