Maurice Huffman's New Book "Jake and the Hot Air Balloon" Exquisitely Narrates the Adventures of an Orphan Boy and His Friend Mouse in a Tale of Unforgettable Adventure
(PRWEB) November 29, 2017 -- Maurice Huffman, a loving father who loves writing and performing music with his band Big Mo & the Full Moon Band, and owner of an import business, has completed his new book “Jake and the Hot Air Balloon”: an enthralling story of the orphan Jake and his friend Milton the Mouse as they embark on many adventures, some very amusing and others quite dangerous.
Author Huffman recounts the unpredictable nature of life akin to a hot air balloon, and each person’s ability to steer it as he or she wills – a comparison of one being a master of his or her own fate: “Jake now knew that he would never return to the orphanage. He has resigned to the thought that there was nowhere to go home to, and that his future and his home lay in front of him wherever the winds might carry him. Fritz told him that they were somewhere over the Caribbean. So, Jake decided to start a slow descent since he had never seen the Caribbean Sea. Slowly, he decreased the amount of heat to the balloon, and they started a slow descent once they had cleared the edge of the alpland.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Maurice Huffman’s delightful novel shows the importance of friendship and camaraderie amidst overwhelming feelings of loneliness and weariness. The book is also an inspiration to the bedtime stories Huffman tells his son Miles, and hopes that the stories endure on to his grandchildren one day.
Readers who wish to experience this extraordinary work can purchase “Jake and the Hot Air Balloon” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, Kobo, or Barnes and Noble.
