More Than Half of Wisconsin Counties Now E-Recording with Simplifile
SAUK COUNTY, Wis. (PRWEB) September 18, 2013 -- E-Recording of land records in Sauk County, Wis., is now available through Simplifile, the nation’s largest and fastest-growing e-recording service provider.
“Instead of using the mail or a courier service, customers will save time and money by being able to submit their documents electronically to the county for recording,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “In addition, submitters who traditionally walk their documents into the courthouse for recording will no longer have to travel to the county or wait in line.”
With the addition of Sauk County, more than half of Wisconsin has adopted the method of e-recording land documents with Simplifile.
When the county receives documents electronically from Simplifile, they are usually recorded within minutes, which is significantly faster than the average wait of several days to have documents stamped, recorded and returned from the county.
Customers that will benefit from this service include title companies, banks, attorneys, lien filers and other organizations that submit land and property-related documents such as deeds and mortgages to the county for recording.
According to Clifford, payments are also securely processed, relieving both the county and customers from dealing with checks and the potential for payments to get lost in the mail.
Sauk County is the 37th Wisconsin county to adopt e-recording and joins more than 950 additional recording jurisdictions throughout the nation who have transitioned to e-recording with Simplifile.
