MyTicketIn Announces 2013 Houston Dynamo Tickets Available; Find Game Dates and Times Online at MyTicketIn.com
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) August 19, 2013 -- Fans with Houston Dynamo tickets have certainly come to expect a lot from their favorite soccer squad.
The team has only been in Houston since 2006, but since that time have been one of the best franchises in the MLS. They won back-to-back titles in their first two years in Houston, and fell just short each of the past two seasons, falling to the Los Angeles Galaxy in each of the last two MLS Cups.
The passion for soccer in the city has grown markedly, and the Dynamo’s attendance has risen in nearly every season of their existence.
“The city has really embraced the Dynamo,” said My Ticket In managing partner Malcolm Robinson. “Soccer has had a hard time catching on in some parts of the country, but that certainly isn’t the case here.”
The move to their new home, BBVA Compass Stadium, has only made Houston Dynamo tickets an even more valuable commodity. Now located downtown in the same vicinity as Minute Maid Park and the Toyota Center, the Dynamo are becoming even more engrained in local consciousness.
“Moving downtown was a huge move for the team,” Robinson said. “It gives a lot more people easy access to games, which is critical when a team is trying to establish itself in a new area like the Dynamo are.
“Houston has really done an awesome job of centralizing its sports venues and building up the downtown area, to the benefit of both the fans and the teams.”
The Dynamo remain within striking distance of Sporting Kansas City, which currently sits atop the Eastern Conference standings. Injuries and bad luck played a part in the team’s slow start to the season, but Houston is well-known for its ability to close out seasons strongly.
Face of the franchise Brad Davis has missed some time in order to play on the U.S. Men’s National Team, but he has been productive for the Dynamo. In 14 games this season, Davis has four goals and three assists, and was selected to the MLS All-Star team for the sixth time in his career.
Defender Corey Ashe was also named to the 2013 All-Star team, marking the second time in his career he earned that distinction. Young forward Will Bruin has quickly developed into one of the best scorers on the squad, and is currently leading the Dynamo with five goals and five assists.
Goalkeeper Tally Hall is generally considered one of the best in the league, and has six clean sheets to his name in 2013.
The talent is clearly in place for Houston to make another postseason push, and the team knows how to navigate the second half of its schedule. As long as the squad picks it up and catches a few breaks, fans with Houston Dynamo tickets could very well witness another run at the MLS Cup this season.
