National Association of Professional Women Inducts Phyllis A. Gill, Lieutenant of the Chicago Police Department Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle

She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in law enforcement. Lieutenant Gill has been in law enforcement, protecting the citizens of Chicago, for more than 24 years and has held the title of Lieutenant for six of those years. Her training and experience includes law enforcement medical rescue training, terrorist training and terrorist response readiness. She also specializes in criminal / sexual assault, evidence and research.
An esteemed member of the Chicago Police Department, some of Lieutenant Gill’s more memorable details include sharing the stage with Brother Sergeant De Lacy Davis, a 14-year veteran of the East Orange, NJ Police Department, as they spoke against police brutality. She has also guarded Winnie Mandela in NYC and assisted Patricia Heale, President of the African American Police League. Lieutenant Gill received her B.A. from Loyola University.
