National Speaker Brings Healthy Humor & Laughter to Mount Pleasant Retirement Village
Monroe, Ohio (PRWEB) February 11, 2014 -- Who or what makes you laugh … and why?
Nationally recognized humorist, speaker and author Lenny Dave will discuss healthy, therapeutic humor and laughter when he presents "Laugh Goes On!" at Mount Pleasant Retirement Village on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014. The laughter and learning will begin at 2 p.m.
Dave lives in Cincinnati and was part of Mount Pleasant Retirement Village's popular four-part Humor Me Healthy series last summer. His credentials include a recent two-year term as president of the Association for Applied & Therapeutic Humor, an international community of professionals who practice and promote healthy humor.
Participants will learn the important role humor and laughter play in healing, coping and an improved mood.
"Every so often, people just need to relax, lighten up, have a few good laughs, and forget about things for a while," Dave says.
"Laughter is good for the mind and body. It helps relationships and is free and fun," says Marketing Director Devon Moyer. "We bring laughter into our residents' lives, and we'd like to share that healing power with the Monroe community."
"Laugh Goes On!" is free and open to the public. Space is limited. Call Lisa Jones at 513.539.7760 to reserve your spot before Wednesday, Feb. 12.
The event will be held in the Mary H. Kittredge Chapel, on the Mount Pleasant campus, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe, Ohio, 45050.
