It’s award-winning software from the people that brought you Vocus PR, PRWeb, Help a Reporter Out and iContact, but with a new brand and company that is singularly focused on the needs of the marketer.

OutMarket, a provider of marketing automation software and services, makes its public launch today. For current and future customers, the creation of OutMarket means a new company that is 100 percent focused on delivering marketing automation that is easy to use, simple to implement and helps get new business. OutMarket is led by Vocus veterans You Mon Tsang and Mark Heys.
Acquired by private equity firm GTCR in May 2014, Vocus was subsequently organized into two business units: Vocus PR and Vocus Marketing. While Vocus PR is to be combined with Cision, the Vocus Marketing business unit will now function independently as its own company, branded as OutMarket.
"The spin-off of OutMarket will enable us to focus intensely on the rapidly evolving needs of marketing professionals and small business operators," said Mark Anderson, GTCR Managing Director. "We're excited to partner with You Mon Tsang as Chief Executive Officer and Mark Heys as Chief Technology Officer to help OutMarket customers increase revenue and beat the competition."
OutMarket’s objective is to help clients win market share through a superior approach to integrated and automated marketing.
“When marketing is automated and integrated, it works better,” said Tsang. “This is why we are so excited to unveil OutMarket. It’s award-winning software from the people that brought you Vocus PR, PRWeb, Help a Reporter Out and iContact, but with a new brand and company that is singularly focused on the needs of the marketer.”
Positive customer reviews, consistent growth and award-winning features provide a strong foundation for OutMarket.
“GTCR has bought itself a very competitive marketing automation product for small to mid-size companies…the social media, directory listings, and press release functions give OutMarket more opportunity to serve consumer marketers than usual,” said marketing automation analyst David Raab of Raab Associates. “There is a good chance that OutMarket can elbow its way to a top position in the hyper-crowded SMB marketing automation universe.”
In addition to a new look, feel and product enhancements, OutMarket also includes service enhancements including an updated consulting program. OutMarket provides consulting to clients via an in-house agency of industry specialists that advise on marketing best practices, content and campaign optimization.
“Vocus has a strong tradition of adding features and improving their product, which adds value to the customer,” said David Laxton, client and director of communications at the Autism Society of North Carolina. “I fully expect that culture and proactive approach to providing added value will continue with the transition to OutMarket.”
OutMarket software is one of the most complete marketing automation tools in the industry, featuring workflow automation, lead scoring, analytics, CRM, landing pages, segmentation and more. OutMarket also includes Buying Signals™ and Recommendation Engine™ proprietary technologies, which finds qualified business leads and recommends how to respond to them.
