Primoris Academy Now Accepting Applications for the 2014-15 School Year
Westwood, NJ (PRWEB) November 18, 2013 -- Last week, Primoris Academy officially started accepting new student applications for the 2014-15 school year. There is no cost to apply to Primoris Academy; however, it only accepts very smart 5 through 12 year-olds and has created an admissions process to identify which children will do best at the school.
Primoris Academy is an independent private school whose sole purpose is to provide better education to very bright children. The educational needs of these unique children are typically not being met in existing public or private schools. In fact, there is no other school in the entire State of New Jersey (nor in surrounding Westchester, Rockland, or Orange counties in New York) that is exclusively for gifted learners.
There are several things that make Primoris Academy different than other programs for gifted children. Most notably, Primoris Academy is a full-day school program. Most gifted children in the area are taught in a public or private school and are *supplemented* with occasional accelerated classes and after-school programs. Primoris Academy’s education program is not divided based on the children’s chronological age but divided according to their ability. This enables the school to better provide individualized attention if there is a student who has greater need. According to school founder Katie Kim, “We provide profoundly bright young children an advanced educational opportunity matched to their abilities, strengths, and interests.”
Primoris Academy has a simple 5-step admissions process to ensure every student who attends our school can reach his or her full potential. These steps are:
1. Visit
2. Apply
3. Demonstrate cognitive ability
4. Parent questionnaire and meeting
5. Student academic assessment
It also should be noted that Primoris Academy also has rolling enrollment for the current 2013-14 school year to accommodate families who just moved to the area or simply realized that their current school environment is not optimal for their child and would like to improve it before it’s too late.
More about Primoris Academy’s admissions process can be found on their website at: http://PrimorisAcademy.org/Admissions. To arrange a private tour, interested families may call the school directly at (201) 722-1000 during normal business hours (9-5, M-F).
