Raven Engineering, Inc. Announces Extreme-Duty, Quick-Change Driveshafts and Auxiliary Shafts for Commercial Vehicles
Oxford, Michigan (PRWEB) December 05, 2013 -- Raven Engineering, Inc. (http://www.raven-engineering.com/) is expanding its line of vehicle driveshaft systems with the new Extreme-Duty, Quick-Change driveshaft for the commercial vehicle market. This is one of the most durable and efficient systems available for service fleet operations, both extending time between service and reducing replacement time for greatly reduced vehicle downtime.
The Extreme-Duty, Quick-Change driveshaft is designed with a steel wall that exceeds industry standards, ranging from 0.085 to 0.120 inches thick, depending on application, compared to the typical service vehicle driveshaft walls which are 0.060 to 0.065 inches thick. This makes for a stronger, longer-lasting driveshaft. Raven Engineering shafts are also precisely balanced: less vibration in the vehicle results in reduced driver fatigue.
Used in conjunction with the Raven Engineering unique Quick-Change design, shaft replacement time can be reduced by more than 80 percent. All shafts are precision balanced using Raven Engineering industrial balancing equipment, known for their accuracy and repeatability.
“We’ve gone beyond exceptional durability and balancing expertise that our competitors can’t match by developing this unique quick-change design which will save fleet operators measurable time and money throughout the year,” said Lee Petrimoulx, Corporate Sales and Marketing Executive, Raven Engineering, Inc. “This is also an example of the type of beyond-the-basics engineering solutions that we bring to projects of any scale.”
The Extreme Duty Cycle Auxiliary, PTO Pump and Electric Motor Drive Shaft can be used in vehicles such as buses, refuse trucks, dump trucks, cement mixers and cranes. Each system is designed to meet specific load and torque requirements for its application.
