Redshift Systems Hires Don Kuehl as VP of Business Development
Burlington, MA (PRWEB) September 05, 2013 -- RedShift Systems Corp., a leader in infrared tunable filter technology, announced today that Don Kuehl has joined the company in the role of vice president of business development. Don will oversee marketing and business development efforts to push the continued adoption and expansion of quantum cascade laser technology into new and established markets.
With over 30 years of experience in vibrational spectroscopy, Don previously served in key roles at a number of spectroscopy instrumentation companies and has been successful in bringing new products and technologies to market. He is best known as President and co-founder of Galactic Industries, the largest independent provider of spectroscopy software in the world. Galactic provided spectroscopy solutions to hundreds of companies and institutions world-wide and was eventually purchased by Thermo Fisher Scientific. Don also has extensive experience in FT-IR and NIR instrumentation, applications, and both quantitative and qualitative measurement methodology.
“RedShift’s innovative solid state tuning technology is a step ahead of the competition in the emerging tunable IR laser spectroscopy market,” Kuehl notes. “The state of mid-IR laser technology today is very reminiscent to me of the early years of FT-IR, and should rightly be looked on as the next revolution in mid-IR spectroscopy. This is a very exciting place to be right now, as we are about to witness the rapid expansion of the technology into new and existing markets.”
“Don brings a unique combination of spectroscopy business and technical skills to our company,” said Chip Marshall, CEO of RedShift. “His hire fills a key role in the RedShift team and we are confident he will help us continue to expand our emerging business in IR spectroscopy.”.
