Roadie and NCCF Partner to Fight Canine Cancer
ATLANTA, GA (PRWEB) November 01, 2016 -- Roadie, Inc., the on-the-way delivery network, today announced a partnership with the National Canine Cancer Foundation (NCCF), to raise funding and awareness for canine cancer.
Roadie has pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds from every pet gig completed nationwide to the NCCF. In an effort to ease the burden on pet parents who struggle to safely send their dogs to and from veterinarian offices and canine cancer treatment centers, the company will also offer reduced pet transportation pricing to the NCCF community.
“The NCCF has made great strides in canine cancer research, and we are proud to be partnering with them to help make an impact,” said Marc Gorlin, founder and CEO of Roadie. “Pet owners want to do everything they can when their dogs are struggling, and this can be extremely time consuming and expensive. Roadie was founded on the southern hospitality notion of neighbors helping neighbors, and this includes our four-legged friends.”
“Every day, we see pet parents pour their hearts into finding the best treatment for their dogs, no matter the distance or cost,” said Gary Nice, founder and President of NCCF. “Roadie makes it safe and affordable for pet owners to send their dogs to treatment centers and to give them the help they need. The money Roadie raises through every pet gig will fund new research and bring us one step closer to finding a cure.”
Roadie is revolutionizing the way people transport pets and other items, whether across town or across the country. By tapping into the more than one billion square feet of excess capacity in passenger vehicles already on the road, Roadie saves senders time and money, while also providing safe and friendly pet travel.
Senders can use Roadie’s website or app (available for iOS or Android) to get a free estimate, set up a gig, and track their pet in real-time. Only verified drivers can offer to drive pets, and owners can personally select their pet’s drivers. Roadie offers 24/7 customer support, and pet owners can keep in touch with their drivers every step of the way.
