Safe and Efficient: Introducing Miele Professional Washer-Disinfectors for Plastic Surgery Practices
Princeton, NJ (PRWEB) February 19, 2014 -- Two washer-disinfector systems by Miele, the world’s leading manufacturer of premium domestic appliances, are providing surprising efficiencies to plastic surgery practices. The Miele G 7889 and the G 7899 systems are designed to clean and disinfect the surgical tools routinely used by cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons, including hard to clean tools, such as liposuction cannulas and endoplastic scopes. Miele Washer-Disinfectors are tested in accordance with ISO 15883 guidelines, and proven to clean and disinfect general surgical without pre-soaking or manual pre-cleaning. The systems are compact, automated, and include a comprehensive two-year warranty. Miele Washer-Disinfectors provide plastic surgery practices with the ability to free up staff, and reprocess instruments effectively in a repeatable fashion.
"New tools used by plastic surgeons are smaller and less invasive to patients," says Ken Austin, a director with the Professional Division at Miele Inc. "But they can be difficult to clean, so we’ve designed our washer-disinfectors to be particularly well suited for the newer technologies," he added. Proper and thorough cleaning of surgical implements is a high visibility issue drawing increased attention from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and healthcare inspectors.
Both the G 7889 and G 7899 systems are extremely durable. The systems are capable of performing optimally day in and day out for 15,000 hours, equating to up to 15 years of continuous service. Over 90% of each Miele Washer-Disinfector is comprised of 304/316 stainless steel. Operation is easy with a variety of preinstalled programs, and extensive operating alarms and safety devices are built-in. Both systems circulate water at 105 gallons per minute for gentle yet powerful cleaning, and heated forced air achieves rapid drying. Specialized baskets and racks with injectors are available for the tools specifically used in plastic surgeries.
Miele Washer-Disinfectors are rated for intermediate level disinfection prior to sterilization. The systems assist practices in conforming to industry best practices, such as AAMI ST79, and the instrument manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and sterilization. Miele direct service installs all washers and performs a verification performance test for both cleaning and disinfection to prove system performance. Customers can rely on call center support free-of-charge, and Miele Service continually updates inventory of replacement parts to assure supply if needed.
