The SecurlyHome app allows schools and parents to solidify an authentic partnership around keeping students safe, productive, and morally intelligent while teaching them to use devices responsibly.

Securly, the Silicon Valley-based student safety company, is excited to announce the latest milestone for its web and mobile parent platform. For the first time, 1M parents have visibility into online activity on their child’s school device through customized weekly reporting and web-based activity feeds.
In 2016, Securly launched the web-based Parent Portal for parents to view online flagged activity and engage them with their child’s online activity on their school devices. The Parent Portal was game-changing for the K-12 market and provided parents visibility into their child’s online activity and the educational progress they were making in school. Now, 1 million parents are connected into their child’s online activity on their 1:1 school device.
With the success of the web-based parent portal, the company released its mobile SecurlyHome app for parents in August 2018, allowing them to view online activity from their child’s school devices from anywhere at any time - on their iPhone or Android mobile phones. The mobile app brings with it new and exciting features, including recently released flagged activity push notifications for parents that send a notification when Securly’s AI technology detects self-harm, bullying, violence, or grief among their child’s online activity. Over 10K parents are actively using the app on a weekly basis to stay in the loop with their child’s online activity.
“The SecurlyHome app allows schools and parents to solidify an authentic partnership around keeping students safe, productive, and morally intelligent while teaching them to use devices responsibly,” says Mike Jolley, Director of K-12 Safety Operations. “We give parents real-time access to information that helps them connect with their children about what they are learning, their digital footprint, and overall safety. ‘Tell me more about Strong Women in US history!’ is a much more effective conversation starter than ‘what did you learn today?’”
