Shower Door Types and How To Best Clean and Maintain Glass Shower Enclosures
Florida (PRWEB) June 02, 2015 -- If you have a clear shower enclosure, like millions of homeowners worldwide, you know that water spots are very noticeable. Here are some preventative care methods that Heritage Shower Doors recommends…
Care & Cleaning Instructions:
A soft cloth or wet sponge and the following are the only products Heritage Shower Doors recommends in maintaining our glass enclosures and hardware.
Surface Protector - Bio-Clean - Windex- (non ammonia) - Soft Scrub lemon - Diamon Fusion
A clean rinse should follow the use of these products. Please follow the manufacturer’s printed instructions for the products listed above.
Precautions: Avoid abrasive cleaners such as Ajax, Comet, and anything containing Cerium Oxide. Products containing ammonia are not recommended.
Hydrofluoric, Phosphoric Acids are corrosive to glass surfaces and should not be used.
Do not use abrasive brushes, razor blades or sharp objects which may scratch the glass. Squeegee use is always recommended.
Surface Protector
Surface Protector will actually seal the pores of glass, porcelain, ceramic, plastics, polished metals, fiberglass, and marble to make the surface water, soil, and stain resistant. The clear coating guards against the adhesion and build-up of dirt, grime, mold, mildew, rust and mineral deposits. Surface Protector permits the practice of preventive maintenance, reducing costly cleaning, repairs and replacement. Simply spray on and polish off. Heritage Shower Doors recommends this product to help keep glass shower doors clean upon installation.
Bio-Clean
Bio-Clean works wonders on showers by tackling the toughest jobs to make your job easy. Bio-Clean is the professional solution to remove soap scum, hard water stains, calcium, mineral deposits and grime on your bathtub, shower door or anywhere else in your bath. Heritage Shower Doors recommends Bio-Clean for a thorough cleaning and if a build-up of water spots, soap scum, or grime is noticeable.
Windex (non-ammonia)
Windex is one of the proven ways to clean shower doors and it still works remarkable. Spray down the shower doors with Windex and then wipe off with a soft cloth. Heritage Shower Doors recommends using non-ammonia Windex to keep your glass in top shape.
Soft Scrub Lemon
Frameless glass shower enclosures can really add a touch of sophistication and luxury to your bathroom design. Keep them looking their best with a cleaning product that's tough on stains, yet gentle enough for daily use. Try Soft Scrub Lemon’s Total Bath & Bowl Spray, Bleach Cleaner Gel, or Mold & Mildew Stain Remover Spray.
Diamon Fusion
Diamon Fusion is a two-step process applied to the glass in our shower door shop. The best way to describe Diamon Fusion is like a really, really strong rain-x. The chemical reaction bonds to the glass to form an ultra-thin protective layer of optically clear durable material, making the surface significantly easier to clean and more resistant to weathering. Here are some benefits…Reduces cleaning by up to 90%, 20% more brilliance, impact and scratch resistant, protection of the surface from stains, scratches and other damage, a more hygienic home by reducing mold and bacteria, revitalization to maintain “like new” performance, if desired, is easy and effective, 10X more water repellent, UV stable, and 100% optically clear.
