Steve Scott Country Releases "Those Tears I’ve Cried"
Detroit, MI (PRWEB) December 19, 2013 -- Detroit may not be the first city most think of as a home for country music, but Steve Scott Country’s latest release, "Those Tears I’ve Cried" is the tipping point, as Detroit’s premier Americana sound. Scott, an American country singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor is a self-taught, naturally gifted musician and performer. When he’s not singing on stage, Scott can be found acting with such artists as: Harvey Keitel, David Bowie, Christopher Walken, Viggo Mortensen, and Giancarlo Giannini, to name a few. Clearly a man of many talents, Steve Scott’s musical prowess steers the listener through a journey of passionate, soulful prose infused with traditional country “down-home” brilliance.
Steve draws influences from a large swath of traditional Americana, pop rock, and bluegrass, along with his mother’s favorite country icons, including Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and Hank Williams. "Those Tears I’ve Cried" seamlessly blends many of the sounds that make Detroit great: driving blues, pounding rock, and soulful country. The listener is instantly drawn in from the first track, “I Think About You,” a lively straight-up Top-40 hit waiting to happen. Radio-ready hits seem to pour out of Scott, as he cleverly interweaves classic pop/rock arrangements and rhythm sections with traditional bluegrass instrumentation, a sound he and his band like to call Blue-Rock-Country. This sound is exemplified by the most requested tracks on the album like “Hide & Seek,” “Thoughts on Fire,” “Those Tears,” and “Geronimo.”
“Tequilarama is a hit!” states Rustbelt Studios’ Al Sutton (Kid Rock), who exceptionally mixed all of the tracks on "Those Tears I’ve Cried." This album features some of the best musicians in Detroit, including backing vocalist Gia Warner (Brian Adams, Martha Reeves, Bob Seger), drummer Todd Glass (Kid Rock), bassist Rob Crozier, and Detroit Music Award nominees John Lang on pedal steel/dobro and David Mosher on fiddle, mandolin, banjo, and vocals. A collection of great songs from beginning to end, tunes that are varied, vibrant and belong together, "Those Tears…" is a masterwork.
With their song “Have You Ever Known a Soldier?” Steve Scott Country is working closely in support of the campaign to bring home Bowe Bergdahl, the only U.S. P.O.W. left in Afghanistan. http://www.bringboweback2014.com/steve-scott-country.html
Bowe was captured by the Taliban in 2009 and Bowe's courageous Family is fighting hard to bring back their son. Steve Scott Country is also continually working with (and in support of) other military organizations, such as "Wish For Our Heroes," an outstanding organization that provides food and services directly to struggling military families.
