TCGRx Announces the Release of Next Generation Labeling Features for the ATP™ Series Pouch Packaging Device at the Cardinal Retail Business Conference in Washington, D.C.
Powers Lake, WI (PRWEB) July 24, 2014 -- Medication labeling has been an important topic in the pharmacy industry as new government regulations and patient care initiatives are focusing more on medication compliance. Clearly labeled packaging has been shown to directly improve patient outcomes. TCGRx, as a leader in long term care and retail adherence packaging, has developed the most sophisticated labeling system on the market with their “Graphic Printing Kit.” The GPK is able to be retrofitted to any existing ATP™ system in the market and will provide pharmacies with a diverse and nearly limitless variety of fonts, graphics, barcodes, and other identifiers.
Duane Chudy, President of TCGRx stated, “We are constantly engineering new features for our customer base that have a high impact on their operations. The GPK is unique because it helps both our pharmacy partners and their patient base. The labeling is a tremendous improvement for nurses and self-administering patients but it can also reduce packaging and labor costs for the pharmacy.”
The GPK is an add-on unit to any ATP 128, 192, 256, 320, or 384 size device. It is both a hardware and software upgrade that features a new and easy to use label editor. The label editor allows customers to conveniently create their own labels and to use an array of characters and positions on the pouch that were not previously available. “With the new features of the GPK, we believe our customers will be able to reduce their operating costs, increase their competitive position, and provide a value add to their end users,” stated Matt Noffsinger, SVP of Sales and Marketing for TCGRx.
The product was launched and announced at the Cardinal Retail Business Conference in Washington D.C. this week and is immediately available for purchase.
