The Green Lotus Donate & Learn Expo at Ryerson University Was a Success With the Support of Over 500 Toronto Entrepreneurs and Business Owners
Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) June 25, 2014 -- Over 500 of Toronto’s top entrepreneurs, business owners and marketing specialists turned out at the June 10 Donate & Learn Expo to learn from online marketing, social media and branding experts.
As with all Donate & Learn events, proceeds from the Expo went to the partnering charity. The June 10 Expo charity partner was Project Pathway, an Enactus Ryerson University initiative providing financial literacy, mentorship and business training to help disadvantaged women turn their strengths into sustainable, profitable businesses.
In partnership with Enactus Ryerson, the June 10, 2014 Donate & Learn Expo featured keynote presentations by Paul Lovie of LinkedIn, Maria Shibaeva from Proctor & Gamble and Bassem Ghali from Green Lotus.
Speaking to a packed auditorium at the Ted Rogers School of Business Management, Paul Lovie, Strategic Account Director at LinkedIn, offered up 20 tips in his presentation on building a business brand by leveraging the power of LinkedIn. Maria Shibaeva Sr. Assistant Brand Manager at P&G presented case studies to illustrate how to create and execute Big Ideas - whether in social media, marketing, or in any other aspect of business development. Bassem Ghali, Head of Client Strategy at Green Lotus presented effective marketing strategies and the metrics that matter.
In addition, the Expo Agenda was full of informative workshops lead by industry experts. The inaugural Meet the Experts Workshop, one of 4 pre-event workshops available to attendees, was a huge success. The TekSavvy Lounge hosted this one-of-a-kind networking opportunity where 45 lucky attendees had the chance to pick the brains of industry experts from LinkedIn, P&G, Xplorenet, Ryerson University and more.
Three other sold out rooms featured sessions about:
• Advanced Facebook marketing strategies and engagement apps with Brian McNeil-Smith, Marketing Director at EasyPromos
• How to use the latest technology to simplify bookkeeping and tackle business finances with FreshBooks
• Health benefit options available to SMBs with Adam Hussey, Founding Partner at YourHSA
About the Donate & Learn Initiative
