Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) March 09, 2016 -- The first issue of Tribal Business Journal, a new monthly magazine targeted to Tribal and business leaders of Native American enterprises, as well as organizations doing business with Tribes has been launched. This magazine was created by a partnership between a South Florida publishing firm and a Native American Tribal business development group.
“I expected a solid response,” said Sandy Lechner, flipping through the glossy pages of the first issue, “but this has been over the top!”
He was referring to the number of advertisers and overall reception of the new monthly magazine of which he is the publisher. The Tribal Business Journal features articles and news about economic development in “Indian Country,” from southeastern Florida to Alaska Native Villages and the hundreds of tribes across the country.
The magazine is published by Tribal Media Holdings, and was created by a partnership between South Florida’s Lifestyle Media Group and LDF Development Group, a wholly owned entity of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Tribe. “Lifestyle Magazines saw how the remarkable growth of tribal economies created a need for such a publication, said Lechner, “and our Native American partnerships help ensure our content remains on target to serve.”
Levi Rickert was named Tribal Business Journal Editor; he is a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. “Sharing stories of how tribes have overcome challenges can help others avoid mistakes,” he said. “Time and time again as Editor of Native News Online (also owned by Tribal Media Holdings) we’ve seen how cutting-edge information helps tribes strengthen their economies and their citizens to prosper and build better lives for present and future generations. I’m pleased to serve!”
Sandy Lechner smiled as he said, “We are spreading the word! We’re sponsors of two Native American trade shows already in March –the NIGA Indian Gaming Tradeshow and Convention March 13th-16th, and RES from NCAIED, March 21st-24th. See you there!”
