University of San Francisco To Host 3rd Annual ‘Innovate for Good’ Conference at The Commonwealth Club
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) March 29, 2018 -- University of San Francisco (USF)’s School of Management will host its third annual social entrepreneurship and innovation conference at The Commonwealth Club (110 The Embarcadero) on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. The conference, titled “Innovate for Good”, will bring together inspirational business leaders at the forefront of social impact to discuss various topics around social entrepreneurship, brand building, and business.
“University of San Francisco is proud to partner with The Commonwealth Club to host such an impactful day of events meant to motivate and build the next generation of Bay Area business and thought leaders,” said Elizabeth B. Davis, Dean, USF School of Management. “We hope attendees will learn from these notable community and business leaders and be inspired to change the world.”
The conference will feature keynote addresses from Jolstein Solheim, CEO, Ben & Jerry’s; Damian Bradfield, Founder & President, WeTransfer; and Sarah Heck, Head of Entrepreneurship, Stripe. Panels will cover a range of timely subjects for aspiring socially conscious entrepreneurs, including “Social Impact and Profitability,” “The Impact of Enabling Entrepreneurship Globally,” “Closing the Funding Gaps,” “Hardwiring a Cause Into Your Business,” and “Building a Brand on a Small Budget.” Attendees can also sample products from participating companies during an afternoon tasting session.
“The kind of leaders you’ll find at this conference are building companies that are super profitable and financially viable, and at the same time, creating products that are changing the people who are the producers and planet that’s affected by the supply chain,” said David Batstone, social entrepreneur and co-founder of Not For Sale, REBBL and Z Shoes Organic. “That is when a company is actually revolutionary -- when the enterprise is your mission.”
