Lineup of top security experts offer insight and best practices for building secure applications and services

Deja vu Security, a leading trusted provider of information security research and consulting services to the world’s largest companies, today announced it will host a free, half-day cyber security summit entitled, “Blockchain, Smart Contracts, and ICOs: Building Security into the Decentralized Economy.” The event takes place on December 5th from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the Washington Room at Columbia Tower in downtown Seattle. “Blockchain, Smart Contracts, and ICOs” includes a line-up of top cyber security experts presenting insights and thought leadership on the realities and risks related to these growing technologies.

Presentations will begin at 12:00 PM followed by a “Birds of a Feather” interactive discussion. Some of the talks are:

"The Realities of Enterprise Blockchain" by Adam Cecchetti, CEO of Deja vu Security—Blockchain is garnering huge attention from entrepreneurs and enterprise architects alike. Mr. Cecchetti offers insight on the current enterprise-focused Blockchain technologies, how they fit into the enterprise security ecosystem, and what security, integrity, and transnational guarantees they can and cannot provide.

"Using (and destroying) ICO and Smart Contracts" by Akshay Aggarwal, CEO of Peach Tech—ICOs and Smart Contracts have become extremely popular. Mr. Aggarwal will look at the underlying economic, technology, and process fundamentals underpinning Smart Contracts and ICOs. Specifically, he will share his experience with design decisions and implementation issues to avoid. Mr. Aggarwal will also present a look into the future of Smart Contracts and ICO security.

"Deconstructing the Blockchain" by Mitchell Harper, Security Consultant, Deja vu Security—“Blockchain" is a buzzword that gets thrown around but should the industry take steps to break down the concepts that go into the "blockchain" mythos? Mr. Harper will discuss the common design patterns used in modern blockchains that can be used across industries, allowing for more efficient use of blockchain-related technologies without requiring re-implementation of Ethereum.
