Alixandria Cortez, a retired member of the US Air Force, a wife and a mother, and a recipient of a master’s in psychology, has completed her debut book “All You’ve Given Me”: a rhyming story for children to read with their adults that follows a little green bird who stands out in a world of yellow birds, and the unwavering love and support their mother offers.

“Children’s books are instrumental in teaching kid’s life lessons,” Alixandria Cortez said of her medium. “I wanted to show my son, Elliot, that it’s our differences that make us special.”

Published by Page Publishing, Alixandria Cortez’s book is filled with vivid illustrations that bring the story to life on the page for young readers. From the small bird’s earliest days, to the day it leaves the nest, the momma bird makes it a point to teach the lesson of self-acceptance in the face of diversity.

“Follow a little birdie on its journey to find the greatest treasures in life, friendship, and love for oneself,” Cortez encourages readers.

To share in this heartwarming and inspiring story, readers can purchase “All You’ve Given Me” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
