Dallas Hodge Celebrates Top-10 Debut on Billboard Blues Albums and Heatseekers - Pacific Charts With New Album "Don't Forget About The Music We Made"

LOS ANGELES, July 26, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist, and 2017 International Blues Challenge semi-finalist, Dallas Hodge, celebrates his debut Billboard Chart appearance as a solo artist with a #7 Hot Shot Debut on Billboard's Blues Albums Chart while simultaneously entering Billboard's Heatseekers – Pacific Chart at #7 (for the week of July 27, 2019) with Don't Forget About The Music We Made, a collection of nine multi-genre/crossover songs categorized in the Blues, Blues-Rock, Rock, Americana, Roots, Country, and Pop music genres. Don't Forget About The Music We Made (released Friday, July 12, 2019) is Hodge's second solo CD release and highlights his intense musical honesty and authenticity with each note performed and lyric sung. His uniquely powerful and commanding voice captures attention and touches the heart, soul, and spirit of listeners young and old. This is Hodge's first time entering Billboard Magazine's prestigious Music Charts as a solo artist and he does so in the first week of release and as an independent non-major label artist operating his own business. He previously hit the Billboard Blues Albums Chart during the week of June 28, 2003 as the lead singer of Canned Heat with their album entitled, Friends In The Can.

Hodge was born in Detroit in 1954 and participated together with brother Catfish Hodge in the Catfish Hodge Band early on; then performed with James Montgomery (B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Bruce Springsteen); was the guitarist and backing vocalist for Chicken Legs; then was blessed to perform with the legendary Johnny Winter, Steve Marriott (Humble Pie), Alto Reed (Bob Seger); and, then was the lead singer and songwriter for Canned Heat; all the time involved with his own solo career.

"I wrote the songs, recorded, and released my first album, Reelin', in 2007 simply to thank my Mom and Dad, and to sort of leave a mark that I existed," explains Hodge. "This time around, one can say I am on a mission, I have a purpose, as I try to reach as many Fans with my music as is physically possible simply because all the love, the joy, and the happiness I have received over the years from everyone who was touched by my music from my first album...I just really wish to give back from my heart to theirs in a BIG way; as a thank you!"

Hodge on lead vocals and guitar is a formidable combination and is made even more potent with stellar performances by backing-bandmates Larry Zack (Drums, Percussion); Pat Wilkins (Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals); Robert Heft (Slide Guitar, Guitar, Backing Vocals); and, Jon Greathouse (Keyboards, Piano, Backing Vocals).
