“DUDLEY of Finney's Station”: a fine and eloquent narrative of Megan Cummin’s unexpected dealings with the dashing Dudley Mansfield. “DUDLEY of Finney's Station” is the creation of published author, Lois Kulp, an inspired writer and author.
Kulp shares, “I slipped out as quietly and as quickly as I could. It was cold out there. I flattened myself against the house just in case he came out. He did not. I listened carefully. I heard him in the kitchen and heard the pantry door. I was so glad I had gotten out of there. After a while, I heard no sound in the kitchen anymore. I was eager to get back into the warm house. I could now go back into the pantry because I was sure that he had checked that by now. I very cautiously opened the kitchen door, closed it, and hurried to the pantry door. It was completely closed. I opened the door and slipped quickly into the dark room. I closed the door very quietly and stepped back. And promptly hit a roadblock. A strong male body, to be exact. I cried out in fright, and a large hand came over my mouth while a strong arm kept me from falling. Then I heard a deep chuckle rumble in Dudley’s throat, and he let me go.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Lois Kulp’s new book shows how unforeseen blunders can turn into magical moments with a touch of love and affection.
Witness Megan as she tries to escape her shame in an effort to avoid a confrontation with the young man whom she owes an apology and some ardent compassion.
