With the combined brilliance of DJ Paulo Ramirez and Darren Burgos, Neon Knights formed two years ago with the simple goal of making music that crosses all boundaries. With collective experience ranging from the gritty textures of Industrial to the sugary melodies of Synth Pop to the heart racing Psychedelic Trance, Neon Knights fuse the very best of every EDM genre they touch.
Darren Burgos, the first half of Neon Knights, has been creating and releasing music in Los Angeles on various labels for the past twenty years. Starting out in genres such as Electro, Industrial, and Synth Pop in the late 80s while moving to Techno in the 90s, the transition was only natural. Progressing into then Psychedelic Trance in the early 2000s, and now settling on a mix of Electro, Nu Disco, and House, Burgos has covered nearly every EDM base a producer can touch. With “It Feels So Good,” his extensive EDM experience shows, with traces of nearly every four-on-the-floor genre he has gotten his hands on.
DJ Paulo Ramirez, the second half of the Neon Knights duo, has been a regular of the West Hollywood and Silverlake dance club scene for the past several years. With his unique ability to read his crowds and keep them moving all night long, it's no wonder Ramirez has become a staple of the California club circuit since his arrival in Los Angeles in 2008. On (We Are) Nexus' “It Feels So Good,” Ramirez melds his club sensibilities with Burgos multifaceted production style to create a sound that is one of a kind.
