HomeThangs.com Has Introduced a Guide To Stylish, Storage Smart Bathroom Vanities Under 24"

24" is the smallest standard size for a bathroom vanity, but in a very small bathroom, that might still be too big. There are bathroom vanities out there that pack tons of storage into even less space, and HomeThangs.com has introduced a guide to a few of the best options to add a little wiggle room to a very small bathroom.
1. Petite Open Shelf Vanities
The vast majority of bathroom vanities are designed to have a width that's some multiple of six or twelve inches, but in a truly small bathroom, it's worth breaking convention. Not only will a smaller vanity make the bathroom look and feel bigger, it also means greater control over supplementary storage, because vanities under 24” are often much more intelligently designed. One of the most common layouts is reminiscent of a style popular with much larger vanities: the open shelf. Instead of one large cabinet, these have a small cabinet under the sink, and an open shelf beneath that, creating a little closed storage at waist height for personal items and an open space at the bottom for general bathroom items, like TP and spare towels.
2. Pillar Style
For the most storage in the absolute least amount of space, pillar style vanities are the best option. These are straight, narrow rectangular cabinets, sometimes as small as a foot wide. They typically have one long door that opens up on a cabinet divided by a shelf in the middle, which helps keep items organized. More often than not, these have vessel sinks, which frees up a little extra space inside the cabinet as well.
3. Efficiency
For guest bathrooms or those with a very basic daily routine and few toiletries, a wall hung efficiency style bathroom vanity is a great way to save a lot of space. Modeled after vanities found on small boats or RVs, these have a very small, narrow rectangular sink, a one-handle faucet offset to one side, and a micro sized cabinet that's just big enough for the most basic toiletries. Similar to the grey water taps being built into high efficiency water saving toilets, these are really only good for washing hands and brushing teeth, but will dramatically open up the rest of the bathroom.
4. Full Extension Drawers
Drawers in any form are great, but even in 24" vanities they aren't always easy to come by. But there are rare and delightful exceptions, which manage to work in a drawer either underneath or alongside the sink and plumbing. Wherever possible, look for full extension drawers, which can be pulled all the way out without danger of falling out, making it easy to access items stuffed way in the back of the drawer.
5. Wall Mounted Storage Cabinets
The biggest drawback to opting for one of these teeny tiny bathroom vanities is that they have very little counter space. This is probably a familiar feeling for those that have a 24" vanity, but every lost inch matters. So when scaling back to a smaller vanity, make sure to choose one that has really good storage options, and not just in the vanity itself. The best small vanities come paired with wall mounted storage cabinets, which have a slim profile and offer accessible storage without taking up any floor space.
