Omaha, Neb. (PRWEB) April 11, 2014 -- Frida Aguilera De la Torre will be featured on a segment discussing “Frida’s Law”, anti-bullying legislation proposed by Nebraska law firm Inkelaar Law, on Univision’s Primer Impacto. The show will air on April 21, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
“Frida’s Law”, proposed by Thomas Inkelaar, founder of Inkelaar Law, is intended to strengthen Nebraska’s bullying laws. Under the proposed legislation, individuals who display bullying behavior through physical, verbal or mental means may be charged with a felony and receive stricter penalties, including required counseling, community service and victims’ impact awareness classes.
The anti-bullying proposal has obtained support from two Nebraska senators who will submit the bill to the full legislature during the next session.
“The process of moving forward with Frida’s Law will require the assistance and support of many. This is just another step in what is sure to be a long fight to get Frida’s Law through – Our firm is ready to continue standing up for bullying victims until Nebraska laws criminalize bullying behaviors,” said Inkelaar.
Frida Aguilera De la Torre was allegedly attacked by six classmates on Jan. 15 while walking home from school, according to an ABC 8 Eyewitness News Report published on March 19. Her attack was captured on video by a member of the group of teens who allegedly attacked her.
In the coming days, Inkelaar Law urges those who wish to support anti-bullying efforts to join in on the conversations happening on Twitter @EducateBullies and generate awareness by using #Fight4FridasLaw on social networks.
