The scholarship is awarded to a full-time college student who is an unpaid caregiver for a family member living with a disability or chronic medical condition.

After a rigorous process of judging, 180 Medical proudly announced the very first recipient of the 180 Medical Caregiver Scholarship Program, Yousra Mohamed. Yousra has acted as a caregiver to her mother since an early age. Yousra credits her experience as a caregiver to her parent as a journey that "has filled me with empathy and motivation to pursue a future career in medicine."
Yousra began her freshman year at the University of Southern California this fall with the help of the 180 Medical Ron Howell Caregiver Scholarship award of $1,000. She says, "Thank you for this generous scholarship. I am appreciative and truly honored."
