CollegeOnTrack Adds Student Transcripts
Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) October 09, 2013 -- Responding to requests from client schools, CollegeOnTrack this week added Student Transcripts to its education planning platform.
Schools for some time have been able to enter grades using CollegeOnTrack’s built in Gradebook, or upload the data from student information systems (SIS) such as PowerSchool or Infinite Campus. Now, they can turn that data into transcripts in seconds.
Administrators just click a menu in the Administration app, select individual students or a group (such as 12th-graders), and click Download Transcripts. The transcripts appear as neatly formatted PDF files, ready to send to colleges. Schools can customize the documents with their seals and official signatures.
CollegeOnTrack has traditionally emphasized customer support, and the development of Transcripts offers a good example. The module began in response to a request from Christel House Academy charter school in Indianapolis. As their first 12th graders got ready for college applications, the SIS system they’d been using wouldn’t produce the necessary transcripts. They asked CollegeOnTrack for help.
College Transition Counselor Laura Tucker says, “I reached out to the crew at CollegeOnTrack to see if they could help with a transcript issue we had. Transcripts are now included in the CollegeOnTrack platform for all users.
Administrators have praised the clean look of the documents, and the fact that the new capability eliminates errors and unnecessary labor. They also appreciate that they can use CollegeOnTrack to do everything from planning classes to managing grades to reporting college success rates with a single log in and an easy-to-learn human interface.
