DIFFERENCES BETWEEN AMBIT 2S and AMBIT 2
The Suunto Ambit 2 contains a barometric altimeter, a longer life lithium-ion battery that lasts about twice as long as the Ambit 2S. "I use both watches and out testing shows about 6 1/2 hours for Ambit 2S and about 15 for Ambit 2 at one second recording," says Squire.
"Both watches contain the new trackback and navigation features so the big differences are battery life and a barometric altimeter," says Squire. He adds, "My advice is that is you are an ultra-athlete or mountain athlete get the Ambit 2 because the extra battery life and barometric altimeter really matter."
