Conference to Focus On Motorcycle Safety - Dairyland Cycle®, Provider of Motorcycle Insurance and Corporate Sponsor, to Participate in Panel
Stevens Point, WI (PRWEB) October 15, 2013 -- An event to be held later this month in Orlando, Florida, will focus on improving motorcycle safety.
The 2013 International Motorcycle Safety Conference, to be held October 16-17, explores how human factors directly and indirectly influence motorcycle safety. This year’s conference will run concurrently with a new event, the American International Motorcycle Expo.
Wisconsin-based motorcycle insurance provider Dairyland Cycle® is a sponsor of the conference. Additionally, Dairyland Cycle® product support supervisor, Bob Suehring, will participate in a panel discussion focusing on how research and data promotes motorcycle safety. The discussion, titled Research: Practical Uses and Evolving Needs of Research “Consumers,” is scheduled for Thursday, October 17.
“Dairyland Cycle® sorts through huge amounts of information to identify both risks and best motorcycle riding practices. We want our riders to be safe on the road,” Suehring said. “This conference is a great opportunity to talk with and learn from others in the motorcycle safety industry who share our goal of promoting motorcycle rider safety.”
The research panel discussion is one of 17 sessions scheduled throughout the conference. Other topics will include naturalistic studies, rider habits and trends, motorcycle safety training and motorcycle crash analysis. In addition, onsite rider demonstrations and panel discussions will enrich the conference offerings.
This year marks the first time in seven years that the conference will be held in the United States. The 2006 U.S. conference attracted 350 participants from 18 countries and 32 states. The event is co-sponsored by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and the German Institute for Motorcycle Safety (ifz, Institut fur Zweiradscherheit) in Essen, Germany.
